Biography

Nathalie Bredella studied architecture at the TU Berlin and Cooper Union New York. She finalized her doctoral dissertation in architectural theory at the Leibniz University Hannover and habilitated at the ETH Zürich. Her research focuses on the history and theory of architecture, and on media- and technology studies. She was a research fellow at the IKKM (Internationales Kolleg für Kulturtechnikforschung und Medienphilosophie) of the Bauhaus-University Weimar and at MECS Institute for Advanced Study on Media Cultures of Computer Simulation, Leuphana University Lüneburg. As a visiting professor at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) she taught architectural history with a focus on media and gender studies. Forthcoming is her book "The Architectural Imagination at the Digital Turn", in the Routledge Research in Design, Technology and Society series.
