Saadia Mirza

Biography

Saadia Mirza was an academic guest at the Chair for History of Technology in January-March 2018. She is a PhD student in Anthropology at the University of Chicago, where her interests and research work are situated at the intersection of landscape studies, vision and knowledge, and the history of remote sensing. Her current and past research projects include methods such as filmmaking and mapping. She is a licensed architect in Pakistan and holds a postgraduate degree in design studies from Harvard University, USA. She has previously held teaching positions in design and architecture at the National University of Sciences and Technology in Islamabad, Pakistan, and is a fellow in Art, Science and Business at the Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart, Germany.
